Limited funding has surfaced in recent years as an overarching challenge and obstacle to the improvement of higher education facilities. Continuing budget cuts and decreased funding imposed on universities have affected core functional areas within a facility officer’s role. As time goes on and budgets continue shrinking, major challenges have branched out. The landscape of higher education facilities is evolving; the call to action for facilities leaders is to evolve as well.
This year’s summit aims to take a step back and look at the opportunities that can be created from these challenges, discuss how to reach goals using existing resources and ultimately pave the way for the future model of facilities management.
The Campus Development Summit is an invitation-only event which brings together senior administrators who lead the strategy for facilities and planning at the nation’s most respected colleges and universities. 2012 will mark the tenth anniversary of this summit, which has now grown to become an industry-acclaimed educational and networking platform for higher education administrators to collaborate and learn from each other.
This discussion-driven event provides senior administrators with the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation and knowledge-sharing within a relaxed and intimate environment. Participants of the Campus Development Summit will walk away with relevant and applicable tools and resources needed to increase operational efficiency at their institutions.

“This was truly a unique experience and one that I found extremely valuable. I appreciated the opportunity to have the business meetings with vendors versus the normal trade show environment. It was a more efficient and effective use of everyone’s time targeting those connections that were most meaningful.”
